CERCnet (Comparative Employment Research Collaborative Network) is a new international network of researchers involved in internationally comparative research which engages with the political economy of work and employment, and which addresses how those involved in the governance of work and employment can create better outcomes for workers, communities and societies. It brings together experts in industrial relations, human resource management, international management, labour geography, and the sociology of work and employment.

CERCnet particularly seeks to advance “deep” comparative research, which engages seriously with local and national social contexts, and to address how such research can tackle emerging issues in the field. It aims to provide a mutually supportive, collaborative space for comparative scholars of work, employment and labour management, by bringing together, physically and virtually, researchers in the area.

We welcome blog contributions in subject areas relevant to our remit. To correspond with us, please email, or contact us via Twitter (@CERCnet).
